G500 Series
MOTTA G500 is a range of dedicated slideway lubricants for precision machine tools. Its additive system controls friction between steel-on-steel and steel-on-polymer guide surfaces, combining smooth motion with an adhesive, protective oil film.
The oils separate readily from water-based machining fluids and protect lubricated surfaces against wear and corrosion. This balance helps preserve accurate feed movement, limit lubricant wash-off and support the condition of both the ways and the associated coolant system.

Precision at low feed speeds
Controlled friction suppresses stick-slip and intermittent motion, helping the machine maintain consistent positioning and machining quality.
Protection that stays on the ways
Adhesion resists oil loss from critical surfaces. Load-carrying lubrication helps protect guide faces under demanding contact loads.
Separation from aqueous coolants
Separation behaviour helps reduce persistent oil/coolant mixing, supporting tramp-oil removal and cleaner lubrication and coolant systems.
Material and corrosion protection
Compatibility with different way materials and corrosion protection help preserve precision surfaces, including service exposed to alkaline coolant carry-over.
Principal Applications
- Slideways, leadscrews and cross-feed mechanisms of precision machine tools.
- VG 32 / 68: horizontal ways of small and medium machines; specified moderate-duty circulation, hydraulic or gear applications.
- VG 150 / 220: large, heavily loaded or vertical ways and designated gear drives requiring greater film retention.
Match viscosity to load, way orientation and the lubrication system. Use in hydraulic circuits, gears or other machine components only where the machine builder specifies that duty and grade.
