BUYING FROM MOTTA

Frequently asked questions.

Order minimums, samples, payment, lead time, shipping terms and documentation — answered up front, so your first enquiry can go straight to the commercial detail.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Standard programmes ship by container, and one container can mix several series, so a first order does not have to commit to a single product. Smaller trial quantities and mixed-SKU containers are considered by product and project. Private-label programmes are quoted per project, since artwork and packaging affect the minimum run.

Do you provide samples?

Retail-pack samples (1L / 4L) are free; you pay the freight. Larger or made-to-order samples are quoted and credited against that order. Sample quantity is agreed at enquiry, based on the product and the destination.

What are your payment terms?

Payment is T/T: 30% deposit with the order, and the 70% balance before shipment. Final terms are stated in the quotation and the sales contract. Payment goes only to a Hong Kong bank account in the name of TIANSHU ENERGY GROUP CO., LIMITED. We never change bank details by email; if you receive such a notice, call us to confirm before paying.

What is your lead time?

15 to 25 working days from confirmed order and receipt of payment, depending on product mix and the current production schedule. Private-label programmes add time for artwork approval and packaging production, which is scheduled at project start.

Which Incoterms do you work with, and which port do you ship from?

FOB Xiamen, China is the standard basis. CIF and CFR are available and quoted to your destination port. All terms are Incoterms 2020 and confirmed at the quotation stage.

Do you support private-label and OEM lubricant programmes?

Yes. MOTTA manages product selection, technical alignment, packaging and approved artwork, production coordination, quality release and export preparation as one programme. Filling and packing are carried out through our long-term manufacturing partner in China.

Can we visit the factory or arrange an inspection before committing?

Yes. Visit the production site, or join a live video audit, before you commit to production. Third-party pre-shipment inspection (for example SGS, Bureau Veritas or Intertek) can be arranged at the buyer's request and cost.

What packaging formats are available?

Packs follow what each market buys: 800ML and 1L bottles for motorcycle oil; 1L and 4L for car engine oil; 4L, 18L and 200L for diesel oil; 18L pails and 200L drums for industrial oils; 15kg and 170kg for greases. Each series page lists the exact formats for its products.

Can you design the label for my brand?

Yes, label design is free. Send your logo and market, and we prepare the artwork for bottles, pails and drums, including label text, language, barcodes and the declarations your destination requires. Nothing goes into production until you approve the artwork.

I don't know which oil my customers' machines need. Can you help?

Yes, and you do not need a product code. Send the machine or vehicle model, or a photo of the manual page or nameplate, and we tell you the grade, the viscosity and the pack. Each division page also shows which oil goes where.

How should I read the performance references on your product pages?

Each product is formulated to the performance levels listed for its grade, with additive systems built for those specifications. Typical values on the series pages come from finished-product testing of current production. The equipment manufacturer's manual governs the final choice — send us the page and we match it.

Which markets do you supply?

MOTTA supplies distributors, fleets and industrial buyers internationally, with programmes structured around each market's operating conditions and packaging expectations.
