SELECT BY THE OPERATING REQUIREMENT

Different equipment. Different lubrication priorities.

Load, oil temperature, water exposure and equipment design affect product selection. These application guides connect the operating requirement to a relevant product family, before you compare individual grades.

Hydraulic systems

Pumps, control valves and power units

Hydraulic oil transmits power while lubricating pumps and control components. Start with the pump specification and operating temperatures, then compare anti-wear performance, deposit control and the required fluid type. Y Series covers conventional mineral, high-pressure, low-zinc and fully synthetic options; F3000 serves specified fire-resistant-fluid applications.

Enclosed industrial gears

Reduction drives and loaded gear contacts

Industrial gearboxes need a lubricating film that protects loaded tooth contacts while controlling oxidation and deposits. Compare the L Series by base-oil technology, viscosity and the gearbox requirement. Open gears are a separate application: OPG460 is a graphite-containing semi-fluid lubricant supplied in 15 kg and 170 kg packs.

Refrigeration compressors

Refrigeration circuits and compressor lubrication

Refrigeration lubricant selection starts with the refrigerant, compressor design and specified oil chemistry. RC300 and RC500 are distinct product ranges, not interchangeable general-purpose compressor oils. Compare the applicable range and its complete viscosity offering before opening the product TDS and handling instructions.

Bearings & greases

Bearing housings, electric motors and loaded contacts

Bearing lubrication must match the load, speed, temperature and relubrication arrangement. Explore general-purpose EP greases, SG synthetic ranges, GT high-temperature ranges and E electric-motor bearing greases by application. Food-machinery and electrical-contact products remain separate specialist applications.

Four things plant buyers ask most.

Can I top up with a different brand of hydraulic oil?

Different finished oils and residual oil can affect compatibility and system cleanliness. Before topping up or changing oils, check the existing and replacement products and the equipment manufacturer's instructions, including whether draining or flushing is required. Tell us the oil currently in use and the intended product; our technical team can help check compatibility.

How do I know when the oil needs changing?

Trend it, rather than go by the calendar alone: viscosity change, water, acid number and cleanliness. Our handling handbooks give screening values for each series; the equipment manufacturer's interval still applies.

Is a synthetic gear oil a drop-in for a mineral one?

PAO and PAG formulations cannot be assumed interchangeable. Compatibility depends on the finished lubricants, residual oil, equipment requirements and seal materials. Before mixing or changing oils, confirm the applicable procedure, including whether flushing is needed, with the equipment manufacturer or our technical team. Do you have documents for audits and tenders?

Every product has a technical data sheet, and every industrial series has an operation and handling handbook. The SDS and batch COA come with your order.
